Our Oncology Services

Cancer is a disease that impacts even the healthiest humans and animals. The good news is that it can be treated with a combination of surgeries, therapies, and other methods.

Our veterinary oncologist is dedicated to providing diagnoses, care, and treatment of pets with cancer, while also supporting those who love them. Working closely with other board-certified specialists, she ensures your pet receives comprehensive, compassionate care.

After reviewing your pet's medical history and diagnosis, she will meet with you to discuss the disease, staging (additional diagnostics), treatment options, side effects, and prognosis.

Our Board-Certified Veterinary Oncologist

A board-certified veterinary oncologist has completed comprehensive training after veterinary school with a focus on oncology (how cancer develops and how to treat it). During this training period, an oncologist also completes an internship and residency, passes extensive exams, and fulfills publication requirements to attain board certification by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) in Medical Oncology.

Staging (Additional Diagnostics)

After your pet receives a cancer diagnosis, additional diagnostic testing can help to identify the amount of cancer in the body, which allows us to customize treatment recommendations and better forecast prognosis.

Treatment Options

When staging is complete, our team of specialists will review all appropriate treatment options. Cancer can be treated by numerous therapies or combinations of treatments, including surgery, immunotherapy, chemotherapy, targeted therapies, or palliative care when suitable.
